DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – A closer look at donor records for Texas Governor Greg Abbott, show roughly 25% of Abbott’s appointees are campaign contributors who have given the republican more than 8.6 million dollars combined since 2000.
The analysis, done by the San Antonio Express News, also found that Governor Abbott has chosen mostly white men and women to fill hundreds of openings on over-sight boards and other state government appointments, since taking office last year.
Figures provided by Abbott’s office show 72% of appointments are White and 15% Hispanic.
