(WBAP/KLIF News) – In the past, having a law degree was highly sought-after, but a new report shows new attorneys in Texas are having a tough time finding a job.
The data was put together by “The Texas Lawbook.”
It shows 13% of more than 2,000 law school grads in the state last year don’t have a job, and 3% are stuck working part-time positions.
Analysis points to several factors including a downturn in the oil industry and reform measures that ended or limited various kinds of litigation.
Southern Methodist and Baylor Universities had the best post-grad employment rates.
