DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Dallas School Board has voted to spend more than $46 million to consolidate its headquarters and other district offices.
Trustees voted 5-3 to purchase the building on North Central Expressway near Walnut Hill Lane.
It will be called the “DISD Eduction Center.”
Board members who supported the purchase said it will allow the district to put more money into schools and not spend it on rent.
Right now, employees are housed at 16 different locations.
