ERCOT Releases ‘Good’ Outlook for Summer Months

(WBAP/KLIF) – The summer forecast is out from ERCOT. It is a good outlook looking at the summer electricity demands.

ERCOT’s Robbie Searcy says their meteorologist though is looking at weather patterns that do keep questions in the air.

“He is going into this summer with a little more uncertainty than usual because we are seeing this El Nino start to fade off,” said Searcy.

While the summer outlook looks good that doesn’t mean there won’t be long stretches of extremely hot days when ERCOT would ask customers to scale back on demand.

Hot periods could be more likely in portions of West Texas.
