Traffic at Love Field to Improve with Potential New Facility

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) One huge rental car facility may be coming to Dallas Love Field airport. Director of aviation Mike Duebner wants to build a more than 1-million-square-foot development that would house all of the existing rental companies. He told the Dallas Morning News it would help alleviate car traffic at the gates. There is only one entrance and exit to the airport, from Mockingbird and Herb Kelleher Way. Duebner’s plan also would not cost taxpayers a dime. He says the facility would be paid for by fees incurred by car rentals, mostly purchased by out-of-town visitors. A Dallas City Council committee will have to sign off on the deal.
