DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) A dog is recovering and a Dallas man is charged with animal cruelty. Police say Otis Gardner poured gasoline on a dog in the Oak Cliff area last week and set it on fire. Firefighters say when they arrived on scene, the flames had been put out. The Dallas Morning News reports that Jody Jones with Dallas Animal Services thanks the community for keeping eyes open to animal-related issues. The dog, named Bruno, is recovering at a clinic. It’s unclear if it belonged to Gardner. He was released from jail after posting bond yesterday afternoon.
