DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – What was originally thought to be a tragic fatal fire in a Dallas apartment Friday afternoon turned out to be a murder. The body of 53 year old Eliuth Arteaga was found in the burned out apartment she shared with her daughter and son-in-law, and their three children near Spring Valley and Coit Roads. At first investigators thought she had been overcome by smoke and heat while trying to get out of the burning apartment, but they now say she was actually the victim of homicidal violence. They have not said exactly how she died, or whether they have any suspects.
