ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF News) – Beyonce appears Monday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, and police plan to be present.
The singer’s “Formation” music video opens with her standing on top of a police car submerged in water.
Police in Miami refused to work off-duty security at her concert.
The combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas put out a statement asking Beyonce to clarify the song’s intentions, but the Arlington Police Association said it works at events for the safety of patrons, not the celebrity.
The association said a boycott would have no effect on Beyonce, but it could have an effect on the people who officers have taken an oath to protect.
