Information Needed for Capital Murder Investigation

The Dallas Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance for information regarding a capital murder investigation.

On May 28, 2016, at approximately 9:05 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting at 12121 Coit Road at the Extended Stay America Hotel. The victim, Paris Marquell St John, B/M 27-years old, was shot at the location and transported to a local hospital where he died from his wounds. Mr. Marquell’s vehicle a 2007 Burgundy Chrysler 300 4-door, License plate CF2G526, was taken after the shooting. Homicide detectives would like to speak with the individual pictured, Demonte Laderrick Scaife, who may have been with the victim at the time of the shooting. Mr. Scaife is described as a black male, 24 years old, 5’07” weighing 150 lbs. Mr. Scaife was last seen wearing a black shirt, black baseball cap and black pants.
