PARKER COUNTY (WBAP/KLIF) – The American Red Cross has opened a shelter in the Horseshoe Bend area of Parker County after recent flooding.
Anita Foster with the relief agency says it is located at the Spring Creek Baptist Church in Weatherford.
“You don’t necessarily have to be just in Horseshoe Bend,” said Foster. “If you are in Parker County or even in a neighboring county and you need a place to go you can go to any Red Cross shelter that is open.”
Those who live in Horseshoe Bend are certainly used to rising water as the area has flooded several times in the past year.
