AUSTIN (WBAP/KLIF News) – Governor Greg Abbott has declared a state of disaster in 31 counties because of the severe weather and flooding.
Some of the counties included are Austin, Bastrop, Brazos, Erath, Hood, Jasper, Palo Pinto and Parker.
With the declaration, the governor authorizes the use of all available resources of state government that are needed to cope with disaster.
The State Operations Center continues to monitor river conditions and the Texas Emergency Management Council is providing help to local leaders upon requested.
