DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Two agencies are investigating a shooting involving a Mesquite police officer.
It started Sunday night when Mesquite police answered an assault call at a motel on Interstate 30 near Big Town Boulevard.
When they arrived a man sped away and the chase was on. It ended in a parking lot on Ferguson Road in Dallas.
When the driver of the car was cornered he tried to get away by heading toward police. A Mesquite officer shot the suspect.
The 30-year-old man is in good condition at Baylor hospital.
Mesquite and Dallas detectives are investigating.
