DISD Audit Finds Problems with Marketing Payments

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – An internal audit by the Dallas School District has found instances in which marketing companies were paid in full before their work was completed.

The report shows that more than $230,000 was paid in advance to four different vendors.

When questioned, DISD executives in charge of the program then gave trustees incorrect information about the payments.

The audit concluded the employees violated the “Educator’s Code of Ethics.”
