Weatherford (WBAP/KLIF News) – 34 adults and three juveniles who were smuggled into the United States from Mexico and Honduras were dumped at a truck stop in Weatherford last night.
Commander Chris Crawford says the illegal immigrants paid a smuggler to bring them to Dallas.
“They saw several individuals coming out of the back of the 18-wheeler truck-trailer, and thought it was suspicious,” said Crawford. “When our officers arrived on the scene, they found several undocumented immigrants, walking in the parking lot area and the roadway.”
INS was called in to process the illegal immigrants and they have been transported to a border patrol processing center in Abilene.
