MANSFIELD (WBAP/KLIF News) – Mosquitoes will be a major health concern and one North Texas town is making sure its residents are prepared.
The Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is hosting a forum at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday.
Health experts from the hospital, city, county and school district will talk about how folks can protect themselves from illnesses like Zika, West Nile, Chikungunya and Dengue.
“We are taking a proactive approach partnering with our local and county health officials to educate our community on how to take precautions to prevent mosquito bites,” says John Phillips, FACHE President of Methodist Mansfield. “We hope to provide information that can protect people from getting sick.”
The forum will be at the cafe inside the medical center on Broad Street.
Space is limited, so people are asked to register at: http://info.methodisthealthsystem.org/mosquito-forum
