Home Invasion Turned Kidnapping Was Not Random, say Dallas Police

IMAG0337[1]Dallas (WBAP/KLIF News) – Dallas Police want to reassure everyone there is not a gang of home invaders randomly looking to kidnap children.

Assistant Chief of Police Randy Blankenbaker says the kidnapping of 10-year old Nicholas Fierros Monday afternoon from a relative’s home in Oak Cliff was motivated by money.

“We don’t believe this was a random act,” said Blankenbaker.  “Statements attributed to the suspects, by the victim and his family, indicate the suspects specifically targeted the home.”

When the suspects, described as three black men wearing all black, were not able to get any money, they took Nicholas.

He was found about seven in the evening, about five miles from the home on Buick Avenue where he was kidnapped.  The couple that found him said they recognized him from pictures on social media…he was cold and wet, but otherwise okay.
