Dallas (WBAP/KLIF News) – Despite all the warnings we’ve heard over the years, people will still be out drinking and driving this weekend. Lieutenant Dale Barnard with the Dallas PD says that’s why they’re doing another “no refusal” weekend.
“This weekend is one of the deadliest for accidents regarding drinking and driving,” said Barnard. “So we ask, if you drink, be careful and designate a sober driver.”
The no refusal period runs through 6:00 Tuesday morning. Anyone refusing to take a breathalyzer will be detained until a Magistrate judge approves a blood draw. Barnard says there are plenty of fun things to do this weekend, don’t ruin it with a DWI…or worse.
