Accidental Shooting Sends Ft. Worth Teen to the Hospital, Condition Critical

Fort-Worth-Police-DepartmentFt. Worth (WBAP/KLIF News) – A Fort Worth boy is in critical condition this afternoon after being accidentally shot by a friend. Officer Jimmy Pollozani says instead of telling someone about the gun, they took it home.

“A 16-year old male, and a 17-year old male friend claimed to have found a gun in a creek early in the morning,” said Pollozani.  “While in the garage, they were handling the gun, and it accidentally went off, striking the 16-year old in the chest.”

The boy was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital, paramedics say he was awake and responsive.  It happened in the 3600 block of Hulen Park Circle about 3:00 this afternoon.
