LOCKHART (WBAP/KLIF News) Hot air ballooning was the world’s first type of manned flight. The Balloon Federation of America says the practice is more than 300 years old and usually very safe. But, pilots do have to be trained and stay aware of conditions. Jeff Chatterton says pilots only have the ability to maneuver the balloon up and down, and that the wind controls all other movements.
