DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The chairman of the Dallas County Republican Party is stepping down.
Mark Montgomery, who has only served the post for a few months, says in a statement, “There have been some recent changes in my personal life that will inhibit my ability to continue to serve.”
Montgomery says he will resign at the next executive meeting on August 18th.
The statement says “It will be your duty to attend the meeting and elect a new Chairman to finish out the term.”
