Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – A fugitive who ran away from his sexual assault trial in Fort Worth earlier this week was caught and arrested Friday night in the woods near Lake Worth.
Jayson Sparks was tracked down by a bounty hunter. He’s now back in the Tarrant County jail, facing 30 years in prison. His trial was finished while he was on the run, and he was convicted in absentia. No sentence was imposed on Sparks while he was gone, but now that he’s been caught he’ll be sentenced, and may also face additional charges.
