DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Dallas County sheriff’s deputies lobbied the County Commissioners Court for more money Tuesday – the same day commissioners approved 6% pay raises for themselves and other elected officials.
The deputies want an 8% raise. They said morale is suffering because the county pays its deputies less than Collin and Rockwall counties.
Deputies in Dallas start at around $49,000 a year.
