Fort Worth Mayor Hosts Online Town Hall

FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) – The mayor of Fort Worth answers more than a dozen questions during a “Twitter Town Hall” on Wednesday.

One user wrote that her friends like to visit the city, but she’s embarrassed by the amount of trash.  Mayor Betsy Price replied that Cowtown cleanup now takes place twice a year.

She told another user the city is looking at a master plan for its streets that could include protected bike lanes.

Price responded to one user that she’s most excited about transportation.  She said the city is working with TXDOT and Tarrant County to improve infrastructure.  She added that developers are showing more interest on the southside along South Main and Texas Wesleyan.

There were also some lighted-hearted questions.  One user asked, “Mayor Price, your majesty, do you concur you slay in a pant suit even harder than Hillary?” Price didn’t appear to respond to that question.

More than 50 people asked questions during Price’s first social media town hall in 2014.
