FRISCO (WBAP/KLIF News) Frisco ISD is starting out the school year as the fastest-growing district in the country. The district is now larger than Plano and even San Francisco public schools in California. It added 4 news schools this year and will add 4 more next year. Dr. Jeremy Lyon is the superintendent and he says the way students’ time in school is calculated has changed this year, to add up by the minutes in class rather than by days. Dr. Lyon said the district’s mission this year is to know every student’s name and need.
