FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) She’s walking more than a thousand miles to prove a point. 90-year-old Opal Lee is starting a walk from Fort Worth, all the way to Washington D.C. The more than 1,300 mile journey is an effort to bring awareness to Juneteenth and have the president declare it as a national holiday. She plans to walk about 10 miles a day and will have a crew with her to attend to any health issues. Lee starts her walk from Baker Chapel AME Church at 6 tonight.
