DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Police in Dallas are looking for a burglar whose crime was caught on camera.
It happened around 6:00 a.m. Monday at a home in the Claremont addition in east Dallas.
The homeowners could her the suspect breaking into their home through an unlocked window.
Veteran Mouk Chaounlamany told WFAA-TV he was ready to protect his wife and their unborn child. “I grabbed my hammer and I said, ‘It’s going to go down. I’m going to take this guy out and he doesn’t know I’m coming.’ That’s what was going through my mind.”
The suspect got away with a purse and wallet.
The couple said they’re confident police will arrest the man their surveillance cameras captured.
