Police Try to Determine if 2 Dallas-Area Slayings Related

DALLAS (AP) – Police are trying to determine whether two vehicle-related slayings in the Dallas area involved the same gunman who remains at large.

Cedar Hill police say a man driving a pickup truck opened fire Sunday night at several vehicles traveling along a highway. One woman was slightly hurt.

Police say a gunman then fatally shot a man who was refueling at a gas station and stole his vehicle, which was later abandoned.

Police say a man believed to be the suspect broke into a nearby home early Monday, robbed a resident and stole the person’s car.

Dallas police early Monday responded to a report of gunfire along a highway and found a man dead in his vehicle. A police statement says the slaying may be linked to the Cedar Hill gunfire.
