DART Board Postpones Vote on New Rail Line

PLANO (WBAP/KLIF News) – The vote for a new DART rail line is on hold until next month.

The proposed Cotton Belt Line would run from Plano to DFW Airport.

Supporters from Addison suggested creating the line from existing tracks around the Metroplex.

At the request of officials in Dallas, the DART Board agreed Tuesday to put off a vote on the Cotton Belt Line and its 20-year plan until October.

Officials said the new line could be completed as early as 2022.
