DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The North Texas chapter of the American Red Cross is sending manpower and supplies to Florida ahead of possible landfall from Hurricane Matthew.
Volunteer Dan Halyburton is planning on being on the ground when the hurricane comes ashore.
“I will be headed into Orlando and then we will evaluate the situation and determine where we’ll be headed from there,” said Halyburton.
He says they want to be there ahead of time in order to react appropriately to the needs of storm victims.
While the storm is over Florida, Halyburton will follow the orders other Floridians must follow to ensure safety.
