Arlington (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Texas Rangers lost the second game of the American League Division Series Friday, dropping the game to Toronto, 5-2. Yu Darvish pitched just five innings, giving five runs on four home runs.
After the game, fans said the Rangers had wasted home field advantage. The series now moves to Toronto.
“It’s extremely tough,” one fan said. “This is your home turf, and you’re not playing up to your standard.”
Blue Jays fans say they hope to clinch the series Sunday in Toronto.
“We’re not going back to Arlington,” a fan from Toronto said. “Baseball’s done in Arlington for the year.”
One fan wearing a Blue Jays jersey lives in Arlington.
“It was great walking into my office wearing a Blue Jays shirt and my boss wearing a Rangers shirt,” he said. “Rangers fans are a great group of people.”
Game three starts at 6:30 Sunday evening.
