Dallas (WBAP/KLIF News) – Donald Trump and the Republican National Committee hoped to raise between five and ten million dollars during fundraisers in San Antonio and Dallas Tuesday. Trump spent less than two hours at the Hilton near the Galleria in Dallas before leaving for a rally in Florida Tuesday night.

“Hillary Clinton does not stand for anything most Texans stand for,” says Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, who attended both events. “She will not do anything that’s good for them, their family, their business, their country or Texas.”

Patrick says he believes Republicans will unite behind Donald Trump before the election.

“Most Republicans I know, almost all of them, not 100 percent, you never get 100 percent of anything, but in the high 90s, they’re very enthusiastic,” Patrick says.

“He’s for American citizens, not Hillary who says she hates the average American,” says one Trump supporter at the Dallas fundraiser. “He definitely supports us commoners.”

Supporters say Trump focused on the economy, immigration and “crooked Hillary.” In San Antonio, Trump accused House Speaker Paul Ryan of disloyalty to the party for saying he would focus his effort on down-ballot races.

In Dallas, Barbara Tomasino was wearing a dress made from pictures of Trump. She has worn versions of the dress to events in Dallas, Fort Worth and Austin.

“It was like Kim Kardashian walked into the rally, they went crazy over the dress,” she says. “Media went nuts, too, they were there from England, France, Germany. I saw my picture everywhere.”

But Tomasino says recent coverage of Trump’s relationships with women led her to make a change Tuesday.

“I had a picture of a cat on the dress with a toupee like Donald Trump,” she says. “I removed the cat just in case. I don’t think we need to keep the cat on there.”

After the fundraiser in Dallas, Trump flew to a rally in Florida.
