Dallas Judge Resigns

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – A Dallas judge battling alcoholism and depression resigned this week as the state sought his removal from office.

According to the Dallas Morning News, the State Commission on Judicial Conduct planned to ask the Texas Supreme Court to remove Judge David Lewis from the 5th Court of Appeals in Dallas after his colleagues said his work suffered and he had anger issues while dealing with his personal problems.

His six-year term expired at the end of 2018.
