McKINNEY (WBAP/KLIF News) – After receiving a five-year prison sentence, a man was able to escape a Collin County courtroom and jump the railing from the third floor all the way down to the first.

Brandon Keith Fisher was entering a plea deal Wednesday for an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge when police said he decided to make a beeline for the door.

There was a struggle with the bailiff, but the Fisher managed to wiggle his way to the railing in the center of the courthouse, according to police.

He survived the drop and was conscious, but suffered undisclosed injuries.
