FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) – Construction crews along the $1.4 billion expansion of Interstate 35W in Fort Worth hope the rain moves out quickly this weekend.
The project will add tolled, express lanes to I-35W, and the exit to North Loop 820 has moved to the right side of the interstate.
“The project is more than half finished,” said the project’s Tommy Williamson. “The lack of rain really helps move things along and is very good for construction. We’re very excited to be where we are today.”
The drought helped crews finish the construction on Highway 183 and North Loop 820 six months ahead of schedule.
