Five People File Lawsuit Against Dallas Co. Schools

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – A lawsuit could force Dallas County to pay $30 million in school bus fines.

Five plaintiffs claim that Dallas County Schools illegally used cameras on school buses to ticket drivers for traffic violations they might not have committed.

They’re claiming they don’t remember driving through a school bus sign or that they were not driving at the time.

The ticketing system holds the registered owner of the offending car responsible, no matter who was driving.

Carrollton and the agency that runs county school buses have also been named in the suit.
