ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF News) – A new poll by the Fort Worth Star Telegram and WFAA-TV shows next month’s vote for a new Texas Rangers Ballpark is in a dead heat.
700 people were polled, and the results came out dead-even, with 42% for a new stadium, 42% against, and 16% unsure.
57% of the 700 said the new stadium isn’t necessary, with men showing more support for construction than women.
Voters in the poll between ages 35 and 49 overwhelmingly supported it, but those 18-34 strongly opposed.
The actual vote will take place next month.
