AUSTIN (WBAP/KLIF News) – A new political poll shows Hillary Clinton could beat Donald Trump in Texas where no Democrat has won a single statewide race in 20 years.
The CBS News/Yougov poll finds Clinton trails Trump by 3 percentage points among likely voters.
That’s within the poll’s margin of error of 4.4%, which means the presidential race in Texas is essentially a toss-up.
It must be noted, however, that this poll includes voters who chose to participate in an online panel. That is generally considered to be a less accurate way to conduct a poll than more traditional methods.
To get the results, CBS polled 1,031 likely voters last Thursday and Friday.
