DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Organizers said this year’s State Fair of Texas was the most successful in its 130-year history.
Statistics compiled when the fair ended its run on Sunday showed 2.4 million people went through the gates, and they spent more than $56 million on food, drinks and rides.
It was $2.5 million more than last year’s record sales.
Organizers are working on next year’s event. It will begin Sept. 29 and run through Oct. 22.
