Alpine (WBAP/KLIF News) – Alpine Police said Robert Fabian, Zuzu Verk’s boyfriend, is a suspect in her disappearance.
The Alpine Police Department’s Daryll LaSoya said in an interview on Facebook that phone records and information gleaned from over 100 interviews led investigators to that conclusion.
Investigators said Fabian is the last person to have seen Verk before she vanished October 12th.
They said Fabian’s mother and sister and friend Chris Estrada have been named persons of interest.
Since Verk’s disappearance, crews from multiple law enforcement agencies continue to search throughout Brewster County, with a heavy concentration in Presidio County, near the Mexico border.
Family and friends held vigils in Alpine and Keller this week. A $100,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Verk’s whereabouts.
