ALVORD (WBAP/KLIF News) – A two-year-old in Wise County drowned in a bathtub while her mother was allegedly having sex in another room.
The toddler was reportedly taking a bath in her Alvord home with her six and three-year-old sisters when investigators think she was pushed under the water by the eldest sibling.
“The three-year-old didn’t have a clue what the implications of her actions might be,” said Wise County Sheriff Lane Atkin told WFAA-TV.
The child’s mom, Amanda Clark, surrendered to authorities Tuesday and is facing a felony charge of abandoning or endangering a child.
Her bond was set at $100,000.
