Cockrell Hill (WBAP/KLIF News) – Cockrell Hill Police identified Ramiro Silva Miranda as the suspect involved in a hit and run with a police officer last Sunday but he is still on the loose.
Investigators said Officer Daniel Dominguez discovered that Miranda lied about his name during a traffic stop and asked him to get out of his car.
Miranda allegedly took off with Dominguez still holding onto the door and dragged him about fifteen feet.
The officer was taken to the hospital and was treated for a broken ankle, abrasions, soft tissue damage and was released.
Miranda was driving a red 1998 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck with Texas license plate GJH 2165.
He is facing a charge of aggravated assault of a public servant with a deadly weapon. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
