Crime Task Force to Announce What It Plans to Do With Hefty Reward

FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Project Safe Neighborhoods Task Force in Fort Worth will announce how they’ll use a $500,000 reward to make two crime-infested neighborhoods safer on Thursday morning.

Seventeen agencies will be participating and the money will go towards funding various outreach programs.

Project Safe Neighborhoods, a Department of Justice program, is part of a nationwide commitment to reduce gang and gun crime in America.

The award is one of seven handed out nationally every year.
