AUSTIN (WBAP/KLIF News) – U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor has rejected the Obama Administration’s request to a stay a portion of the nationwide injunction that prevented the administration from enforcing its transgender bathroom directives for public schools.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is leading a 13-state coalition in the lawsuit.
The administration had asked the court to rule that the injunction would only protect the 13 plaintiff states.
In a statement, Paxton said his office will continue to “push back against executive overreach until the President learns to respect the constitution.”
