Two New Cases of Zika in Dallas County

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Dallas County Health and Human Services is reporting the 40th and 41st cases of the Zika virus.

A 31-year-old person was infected with the virus during a recent trip to Barbados.

The other case involves a 37-year-old person who contracted Zika in Mexico.

The most common symptoms of Zika are fever, rash, joint pain and red eyes.

The illness is usually mild with symptoms lasting several days to a week.
