BRIDGEPORT (WBAP/KLIF News) – An airplane crashed shortly after taking off from the Bridgeport Municipal Airport in Wise County on Wednesday morning, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
It happened around 11:15 a.m. Lt. Lonnie Haschel with the Department of Public Safety said the Cessna 182 lost power and crashed into some trees in a field.
Two people on board were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. “A male passenger was take to Wise Regional Hospital. A female passenger was flown to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth,” said Haschel.
