AUSTIN (WBAP/KLIF News) – Governor Greg Abbott has invited a Dallas teacher to come to Austin to talk about the most important challenges educators are faced with.
Eric Hale is a 3rd grade teacher at Burnet Elementary School. “I’ll be providing honest feedback when I meet with the governor,” Hale told WFAA-TV. “I feel like we are always in a restart mode. We’re not retaining the most exceptional teachers. We have to fix that.”
Hale is one of only a dozen teachers in the state to get an invitation to meet with the governor on Dec. 13.
