FORNEY (WBAP/KLIF News) – The deputy police chief who has been in charge of Dallas’ loose dog problem has been named the new police chief of Forney.
Rob Sherwin became the head of Dallas Animal Services in September.
He was appointed by City Manager A.C. Gonzalez who said he knew from the beginning that it was not part of Sherwin’s career plan to be the city’s lead dogcatcher.
Sherwin’s second in command, Police Major Barbara Hobbs, will take over DAS.
