GRAND PRAIRIE (WBAP/KLIF)- Crews with the Texas Department of Transportation have taken apart and moved a large Texas shaped flag made of artificial turf that’s been in the median at Interstate 20 and Spur 408 in Grand Prairie since 2010.
Ryan LaFontaine with TXDOT says drivers were stopping on the side of the roadway to take pictures with the flag and causing traffic problems.
TXDOT is working with the City of Grand Prairie to find a new location for the iconic symbol.
