Arlington Fires Nearly a Dozen Officers

ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF News) – Nine police officers in Arlington were fired for falsifying reports.

The officers were let go for allegedly reporting traffic stops they never conducted.

The department said that three other officers resigned before the investigation was finished and four officers are still under investigation.

The group had been suspended back in May after a routine audit of the officers’ activity in the field.

Although the department said the reports were falsified, there were no fake citations issued.

The case has been sent to the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office and the officers can appeal the department’s decision.
