th (WBAP/KLIF) IKEA fans in the western half of the DFW area will no longer have to drive to Frisco or go online to buy their furniture. The Swedish retailer has announced it will build a 289,000 square foot store in Fort Worth. It will be located on the Southwest corner of I-35W and N. Tarrant Parkway. Construction will get underway in the Spring of 2018 and the store will open in the Summer of 2019. The company says it will hire more than 250 employees to run the store. This will be IKEA’s third store in the Metroplex. There is already one in Frisco and the Grand Prairie location is set to open this fall.
